HANOI, Vietnam: In order to strengthen its ties to regional dental organisations, Dental Tribune International (DTI) recently entered into an agreement with the Vietnam Odonto-Stomatology Association (VOSA). Representatives of both parties met in Hanoi to discuss the benefits and synergies of jointly promoting conferences, workshops and exhibitions for the dental industry as well as connecting keynote speakers and international dental groups.

In attendance was Dr Tran Cao Binh, who was recently elected VOSA chairperson and is the director of the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology (NHOS) in Hanoi, with which DTI signed an agreement in August last year. He commented: “There is still a lot of potential that must be exploited. Therefore, we need to consolidate our collaboration in a deeper and more effective way. In particular, the upcoming Vietnam International Dental Exhibition & Congress (VIDEC), taking place from 17 to 19 August at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, will offer a great opportunity for both parties to represent their common initiatives.” VIDEC is the country’s premier dental event and is organised by VOSA. In 2022, more than 200 national and international companies participated. DTI, VOSA and NHOS are currently preparing a tripartite agreement to be signed during the event.

Dr Björn Kempe, chief development officer at DTI, expressed his gratitude for the collaboration opportunity. He further emphasised that DTI is looking forward to collaborating with VOSA in organising various dental events. The publishing group will next focus on engaging international dental experts and companies wishing to expand into the Vietnam dental market.
