Dr Kathiravan graduated in year 1993 from University Malaya. His thirst for orthodontic knowledge leads him back to his alma matter to complete the residency programme in orthodontics. His interest in craniofacial surgery took him back to the ivory tower. This time he had to go up north to Kelantan (USM) to get his comprehensive training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Currently he devotes his time between orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery. He mentors young dentists in orthodontics, dental implants, aligner and difficult surgeries in the clinic. He is also the founding president of Malaysian Orthodontic Practitioners’ Association and active member of Malaysian Dental Association. He has more than 40 articles in international journal and co authored 3 books.
