SINGAPORE: From 17 to 19 April, the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore will host the 14th International Dental Exhibition and Meeting (IDEM Singapore), a leading dental exhibition and conference in the Asia-Pacific region. To be held under the theme “Innovating smart dentistry for a sustainable digital future”, the event will convene dental professionals from across the region and beyond to examine how practical innovation and digital integration are reshaping contemporary dentistry.

IDEM Singapore 2026 will provide opportunities to explore emerging technologies and sustainable solutions, connect directly with manufacturers and global brands, and gain insights into the evolving Asia-Pacific dental market. Covering a wide range, including advanced equipment, CAD/CAM systems, sustainable materials and digital clinical tools, the exhibition will highlight innovations designed to enhance clinical outcomes, streamline workflows and support responsible practice management. According to the organisers, the programme will address key developments in digital workflows, artificial intelligence, advanced materials and data-driven decision-making, combining scientific exchange with hands-on insights designed for everyday clinical application.

Dr Kelvin Chye, vice-president of the Singapore Dental Association and chairperson of the scientific committee, emphasised the clinical orientation of the meeting: “The scientific conference will present a comprehensive programme led by internationally respected speakers, delivering evidence-based knowledge, practical clinical strategies and emerging perspectives across key disciplines. Sessions are designed to be directly applicable to everyday practice.”

Among the main speakers is US board-certified prosthodontist and oral rehabilitation specialist Dr Anas Aloum, who will discuss how digital workflows are reshaping everyday restorative and implant dentistry. “As a Singapore Dental Association Masterclass speaker, I look forward to sharing new frameworks and fostering collaboration across continents. As a participant, I am excited to learn from esteemed colleagues and contribute to shaping a future where technology serves clinicians, laboratories and—most importantly—our patients,” Dr Aloum told Dental Tribune International.

Building on record participation figures

In 2024, IDEM Singapore set new benchmarks, welcoming 8,917 attendees—36% more than the previous edition. The event featured over 17,000 m2 of exhibition space and 500 exhibitors, presenting 629 brands across prosthodontics, orthodontics, endodontics and paediatric dentistry. Twelve national pavilions underscored the event’s international reach. This year, the organisers anticipate further growth: more than 550 exhibitors from over 70 countries are expected to participate.
